Dear Prospective Parents,
Choosing your child’s early years setting is a big decision! For some parents it is the first time that they are considering the prospect of leaving their children with people outside of their family, and we know just how difficult this can be. That’s why we would like to give you a little more information about Castle in the hope that this helps you in your journey to choose the right setting for you and your family.
Castle was established over 40 years ago by my mum, Pauline, a teacher who has always been incredibly passionate about early years. My mum founded our setting on the idea that a nursery should be a nurturing environment filled with love, warmth, kindness, and imagination, and, 40 years on, we continue to embrace this philosophy.
My husband Mat and I are both qualified teachers, and we use our passion and energy for early years education to continue to place family at the heart of everything we do at our setting.
We are incredibly lucky to work with a team of experienced and dedicated educators who share our love of supporting children to be curious, independent, inspired learners. To help us achieve this, we work hard together to plan magical learning experiences and to create a safe and fun-filled environment.
At Castle we all love to learn, and, as such, we constantly try to improve the way we do things to inspire the curiosity and imagination of our children. We also try to embrace a balanced approach, selecting the best ideas from a wealth of theories about early learning so that our children have a broad range of experiences whilst in our care.
As such, our nursery and preschool have been consistently rated Highly by Ofsted.
Currently in our lives, our own two children attend Castle and are going through their early years journey. We feel that this has given us an even greater respect for what our parents experience when selecting a childcare provider, and, as such, we believe that the connection we have with our parents is incredibly important.
Castle is a close community, and we value the input of our parents.
We want you to feel a part of our shared vision for a nurturing environment that inspires curiosity, wonder, and a life-long love of learning. We therefore love for our parents to get involved wherever possible, whether that’s by attending wonderful concerts, coming along on trips and sharing your own skills, or by joining us for one of our parent quizzes, fundraising activities or social events.
We want to continue to build on these attributes that make Castle such a magical place to be a part of, and we hope that, in joining us at Castle, you too will feel part of our family.
Best Wishes, Sarah Bromley
